Artist's Statement

My aim for Message in a Bottle is to reach the viewer in a free form of prose on a subject matter that I hope speaks to their hearts and inspires emotion.  I’ve combined collage and oil medium together in this series of floating wine bottles and messages to express passion, love, and a spiritual state of mind. 

 I recently left a 25-year career in the restaurant industry and am dedicating all my time to my life long dream to be a full-time artist. When asked...   “What do you do?”  these days... I smile outwardly and more importantly, within and say aloud...  “I am an Artist”.  

I have always believed that my purpose in life was to touch people’s lives.

 Now I reach out through my artwork.  It is my hope that it touches your heart. 

 I encourage you to stand back and read through each bottle with the rhythm of its intent and in doing so; I truly hope that the words and colors touch a part of your soul because as an artist...  I feel as if I leave a small part of mine on each canvas.

 Other than this particular series, I create using my own mosaic style to help bring out the vivid colors within my pieces. I create pieces that truly emulate my life. These range from pieces Reflective of food and wine and my passion for traveling.
